Ikuko IWAKI majored in chemistry at the Kobe University to acquire a wide range of basic knowledge of organic chemistry, inorganic chemistry, polymer chemistry etc., and studied organic chemical synthesis in graduate school. Then, she worked at the Research and Development department in a cosmetic company for 7 years. She joined Aoyama & Partners in 2010. She has been mainly engaged in filing and prosecuting patent applications in Japan and foreign countries.
