Yasushi MORIMOTO has a Bachelor's degree in chemistry from the Kwansei Gakuin University, and a master's degree in organic chemistry and a Ph.D. on organometallic chemistry and asymmetric synthesis from the Osaka University. After that, he jointed Aoyama & Partners and has practiced in the intellectual property field since 1998. His areas of technical expertise are life sciences, chemics and material science, especially pharmaceuticals, agricultural chemicals, organic chemistry, inorganic chemistry, organometallic chemistry, catalyst chemistry. He represents numerous domestic and international clients, such as pharmaceutical companies, chemical companies, and universities, in the preparation and prosecution of patent applications, the preparation of expert opinion, the appeal trial for patent invalidation and the suit against an appeal/trial decision.
